Thermal Imager

A hot or cold spot detected with a Thermal Imaging Camera can indicate a defect such as a water leak which may display as a cool spot. Or a defective electrical component which may display as a hot spot when compared to other areas. A Thermal imaging Camera can also be utilised to determine if a wall, for instance, has insulation installed or if there is air leakage around a window or door. Again these types of problems can show up via a temperature variation. Generally, a further investigation is required to fully determine if a defect does exist and to what extent, this usually will require the removal of materials such as wall or ceiling linings for a more detailed view.
