Property Negotiations

Knowing how to respond to a real estate agent’s questions can boost your chances of securing a property for a good price. In this edited extract from his book, Australia’s Home Buying Guide, real estate agent Todd Sloan shares three common questions agents ask and the best way to answer them.

“Just a short note to thank you and Bruce for your professional and prompt attention to our request for an inspection at Tura Beach and very comprehensive report. I appreciated the fact that Bruce phoned me and offered a further conversation if I wanted after reading the report. As it happens the report was so detailed that I felt that no further explanation was required.”

Don Cave, Sth Coast buyer

“I’ve just had the courtesy call from Brendan – I’m ever so impressed. The attention to detail he put into the inspection process was second to none.
He explained things in such a way, that was calm, factual and not alarmist – just perfect.”

Graeme Thornton, Queanbeyan Buyer
